VANIHCS provides a full range of services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education.
Academic Partners
VANIHCS has current established agreements with twenty-three educational institutions, which includes fifty-three different clinical and administrative programs. PharmD students from Purdue, Butler and Ohio Northern Universityrotate through the pharmacy to increase their knowledge and experience. The preceptor program for physician assistant students with University of Saint Francis and primary care at the Fort WayneCampus is a successful program for the physicians and students. Numerous Nursing students in ASN, BSN, MSN and NP students rotate through both the Marion Campus and Fort WayneCampus for clinical experiences. In addition, other students in various programs, i.e., Social Work, Dietetics, Surgical Technology, Recreation, Respiratory, Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant and Radiological Technology programs gain valuable clinical experience through VANIHCS. The facility is currently in process of developing an Affiliation Partnership Council to ensure continued development and enhancement of affiliation agreements with educational facilities in the surrounding communities.
Veterans Service Organizations
VANIHCS maintains a good working relationship with all of our veteran service organization (VSO) partners. We regularly brief our VSO representatives on changes impacting veterans' health care.

Each county in the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System service area has a county service officer available to assist veterans with benefit questions and answering questions about VA Northern Indiana Health Care System.
